Terms of Service and Sale

Last updated: 2026-07-01.

Raconte (the “Platform”, the “Provider”, “we”) is a service for AI-driven voice interviews.

These terms govern access to and use of the Platform by any person or organization (the “Customer”, “you”). By creating an account or using the service, you acknowledge that you have read and accept these terms, including when the service is provided free of charge.

1. Purpose and description of the service

Raconte is a platform for AI-driven voice interviews. The service lets you write interview prompts, send invitations by link or email, have an AI run the conversation by voice with the invited people (the “Invitees”), then obtain the related transcripts, summaries and sentiment analyses. Data is accessed through the UI, the REST API, the MCP server, the CLI, the SDK and webhooks.

The Provider may update the Platform’s features at any time to improve the service.

2. Account and access

Creating an account is required to use the Platform. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for any activity carried out under your account or under the API keys you generate. You must notify us of any unauthorized use without delay at contact@raconte.ai.

A user account may be used by a single individual. An organization can group several users and generate API keys scoped to its perimeter.

3. Acceptable use

You undertake to use the Platform in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Harassment, fraud, phishing, identity theft, non-consensual collection of personal data and any unlawful purpose are prohibited.

You are responsible for the content of your prompts and for the interviews you run. Before each interview, Raconte collects the Invitee’s consent to take part in a recorded interview and to accept these terms. As data controller, you remain responsible for the legal basis of the processing you carry out and for informing Invitees of its purpose and of your identity. You indemnify the Provider against any third-party claim related to the interviews you conduct.

4. Respective roles regarding data

For the data you submit and collect through the Platform (prompts, invitations, transcripts, Invitee recordings), you act as data controller and the Provider acts as data processor within the meaning of the GDPR. The Provider processes this data solely to provide the service and according to your instructions. Details of the processing are set out in our privacy policy.

5. Billing

The service is billed by usage. Each minute of active speech is metered and debited from a prepaid wallet, with no commitment and no automatic subscription. Each organization receives a free monthly minute allowance, detailed on the pricing page.

Top-ups and payments are handled by our provider Stripe. Top-ups are payable in advance and consumed minutes are non-refundable. You undertake to provide accurate billing information.

6. Intellectual property

You keep ownership of your prompts, transcripts and recordings. You grant the Provider a limited, non-exclusive license, for only as long as necessary, to process these contents in order to provide the service (running interviews, transcription, generating summaries and analyses).

The Provider and its licensors remain the sole owners of the rights to the Platform, its code, its interfaces and its documentation. Nothing in these terms transfers these rights to the Customer. You undertake not to reproduce, decompile or adapt the Platform outside of its intended uses.

7. AI terms of use

The service relies on artificial intelligence models provided by the Provider and by third-party vendors, for text generation, speech synthesis and transcription.

By default, AI processing may involve vendors located outside the European Union. From your organization settings, you can restrict text processing to European vendors only. Some technical building blocks, such as real-time transcription, may keep a non-European vendor as a backup. The list of vendors and their locations is set out in our privacy policy.

Your content is not used to train AI models for the benefit of other customers, and we do not allow our AI subprocessors to do so.

Outputs produced by the AI (transcripts, summaries, analyses) are provided “as is”. They may contain inaccuracies and should not be treated as established fact without verification. You remain solely responsible for decisions made on the basis of these outputs.

8. Availability and maintenance

We aim for high service availability. Occasional interruptions may happen for maintenance, updates or force majeure. Where possible, scheduled maintenance is announced in advance and major incidents are communicated. Downtime caused by a third-party AI vendor remains outside our direct control.

9. Liability

The service is provided under a best-efforts obligation. Our liability is capped at the amounts actually paid by the Customer over the past twelve months. We cannot be held liable for indirect damages, nor for decisions made on the basis of the generated transcripts and analyses.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, in particular in the event of prohibited use. Deleting the account triggers erasure of the data under the conditions set out in our privacy policy. It is your responsibility to export beforehand any data you wish to keep.

11. Changes to the terms

The Provider may amend these terms to reflect changes in the service or in regulations. In the event of a significant change, a notice is published on the Platform. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable resolution, exclusive jurisdiction is granted to the competent courts of Paris, France.
